Men’s health coaching is a service to support men who are having issues with pelvic-region issues, which may be occurring for a myriad of reasons. Coaching includes science-backed exercise direction, program development and management, education, and lifestyle modification suggestions.

Nope! We want there to be as few barriers as possible to care. We are more than happy to collaborate with any other providers you are seeing, but an “order” isn’t necessary; we think you can make your own grown up decisions about who you want to see and how.

Ideally, you would receive this information prior to your scheduled surgery so that you can feel prepared, gather recommended supplies, and start prepping your body ahead of time. However, I truly don’t think it is ever too late to get this information, even in the early days/weeks post-op so that you have a better understanding of the surgery and its effects on your body, what you can do to start healing, and start taking action.

I ask myself the same thing. Really, it comes down to who is an expert in what. Urologists or other MD/DOs are experts at eradicating disease/pathology or preventing it from getting worse. They likely do not fully understand the intricacies of the pre-hab or rehab part of care or simply haven’t had quality resources to point people toward. As your coach, I help with your quality of life and function in that life. I think it can have enormous positive impact to get knowledge and tools before your surgery date even arrives, and taking an extra 2 hours out of your schedule now may save you weeks, months, or even years of heartache down the road.

I want more men to have access to high-quality information to set themselves up for success, and being able to offer it in this way achieves that goal. Even though I have spent years treating men in person, I feel that the vast majority of the work can be done virtually and in a group setting. For any more individual needs or other concerns, I offer 1:1 coaching as an adjunct or can refer you to an in-person pelvic floor therapist.
-
While I’d encourage you to come live if you can so that we can engage together in real time and you have a chance to ask any questions, I get that sometimes life gets in the way. So, a recording will be available after the course date and will get sent to you to watch at your convenience.
-
Yes! I’ll be providing handouts of important information and you will have access to the recorded class so that you can rewatch the material or review any parts you missed whenever you like.
